Census data provides information surrounding neighborhood boundaries, demographics, population estimates, education, economy, and business.

Government records and maps help to provide a historical view of the neighborhood and its developments.

Harold Washington Library Center has a great amount of Illinois records and maps available on the 5th floor. You can search their catalog before you go to the library, or you can ask a reference librarian on the 5th floor where it says "Government Information". If you have a Chicago Public Library card, you may be able to check out some items. Otherwise, you can use the materials in the library any time it is open.
