This page is dedicated to the student-run magazine, Abstraction at the Academy.

About Abstraction

Abstraction is the American Academy of Art's student-produced art and literary magazine. The Abstraction Student Committee will be re-launching the magazine in Spring 2020!

Accepted Submissions

The Abstraction Magazine Student and Editorial Committees are excited to announce that we have chosen the artwork and writing to be in the re-launch issue of Abstraction Magazine! Thank you to every student who submitted their work. A list of students whose work was accepted into Abstraction has been posted at the glass office, in the library, and in the lounges. Please check that list ASAP to see if you’ve been accepted into the magazine and to learn about next steps!

Congratulations to our accepted submissions and thanks again to everyone who submitted to Abstraction! Make sure to follow us on Instagram @abst_raction to get all the up to date information including upcoming event information for our re-launch event during Portfolio Week!

Can’t wait for you to see Abstraction 2020 soon!
